Xtar VENUS WK16: EDC flashlight delivers 550 lumens and 125 meter beam

The VENUS WK16 flashlight from Xtar is a compact everyday-carry mini torch which can be powered by one AA (NiMH/Alkaline) battery or one rechargeable 14500 Lithium ion battery. The flashlight produces a maximum output of 550 lumens and a beam throw distance of 125 meters from a fully charged 14500 battery. The pocket light is a quality lighting tool which would very useful for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and hunting.

The VENUS WK16 measures 98mm long with a head diameter of 22.6mm. The flashlight weighs 44.3 grams without a battery installed. The VENUS WK16 utilizes a Cree XP G3 LED emitter, an orange peel reflector and an ultra clear mineral glass lens. The flashlight is constructed from an aircraft-grade 6N03 aluminium alloy which features an anti-roll design. The Xtar flashlight also features a stainless steel detachable pocket clip and a U-shaped tailcap design which allows the light to tailstand for hands-free lighting.

The Xtar VENUS WK16 produces four light modes: High 550 Lumens 47Min; Mid 200 Lumens 3Hr 16Min; Low 10 Lumens 13Hr 6Min; Strobe 550 Lumens. Maximum performance is achieved using a 14500 800mAH battery. The flashlight delivers reduced outputs when powered by AA batteries.

The VENUS WK16 is operated by a multifunctional switch located in the tailcap. Press the switch all the way down to turn on/off the light. With the flashlight turned on press the switch partway down to cycle through the various brightness levels.
