Flashlight Pack Of The Day: GT Road LED adjustable flashlight kit

The GT Road LED adjustable flashlight kit includes one adjustable focus LED flashlight, 18650 battery and battery sleeve, 18650 battery charger, AAA battery holder, key fob and lanyard. The GT Road flashlight pack is tucked neatly inside a Black gift box that would make an excellent stocking stuffer this holiday season. The flashlight comes with all the accessories you need for an adequate emergency lighting tool.

While the light can be powered by AAA batteries, the use of the included rechargeable 18650 battery and charger should preclude other battery purchases for some time to come. The GT Road would be a nice flashlight to keep around the home for the occasional low light scenario but the light would prove very useful for outdoor activities such as biking, camping, caving, hiking, hunting or simply walking the dog.

The GT Road measures 5.3 inches long when compact and 6.1 inches when fully extended to utilize the adjustable focus feature. The flashlight weighs 144 grams without any batteries installed. The GT Road is constructed from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy which features an anti-skid textured design to ensure a firm grip and a removable Lotus-shaped head which would come in handy in some emergency situations. The flashlight also features a hard anodized, anti-abrasive Black finish.

The GT Road utilizes a Cree XML T6 LED chip, a bronze reflector and an ultra-clear, convex, mineral glass lens. The flashlight can be powered by one rechargeable 4200mAh 18650 battery or three AAA (NiMH/Alkaline) batteries. A battery sleeve is included for use with the 18650 battery and a battery carrier for use with AAA batteries. The batteries are to be placed in their respective holders before insertion into the light to ensure a tight fit and avoid rattle. While the AAA battery option would produce a satisfactory output from the light, the flashlight would perform at its maximum with the use a fully charged 18650 battery.

The flashlight produces a maximum output of 750 lumens, a beam throw distance of 300 meters and five light modes: High; Mid; low; Strobe; SOS. The GT Road is operated by a push-button switch in the tailcap and the adjustable focus function in the head. Press the switch until a click is heard to turn on/off the light. The light comes on in High by default. With the flashlight turned on, press the switch partway down to cycle through the various brightness levels. With the GT Road turned on, slide the head forward and back to adjust the focus of the light beam from a spot to a floodlight.
