Flashlight Of The Day: Yuosoar Y10 LED adjustable focus flashlight

Since our readers will no doubt have easy access to AAA batteries, we sometimes highlight flashlight packs which come without any batteries included.These flashlights are more often than not affordable (most folks can fork out ten bucks for a good light), very bright and can be used for several activities including home security, biking, camping, hiking and auto emergencies. The Yuosoar Y10 is one such light which would satisfactorily illuminate most low light environments but would nevertheless require that you acquire batteries independently of the purchase.

The Yuosoar Y10 is an adjustable focus flashlight which allows you to slide the head forward and back, with the light turned on, to focus the light beam into a tight spotlight or a broad floodlight beam. The Y10 measures 5.7 inches long when used as a floodlight and and 6.3 inches when fully extended as a spotlight. The flashlight weighs 150 grams without any batteries installed. The Y10 is encased inside an aircraft-grade aluminum casing which features a lotus-shaped head which protects the internal components and can serve as a glass breaker in case of an emergency. The flashlight also features a rhombus skid-proof design and a hard anodized, anti-abrasive Black finish.

The Y10 utilizes a XPE LED emitter, a bronze reflector and an ultra-clear, mineral glass lens. The flashlight can be powered by three AAA (NiMH/Alkaline) batteries or one rechargeable 18650 Lithium battery. The AAA batteries are placed inside an included battery carrier or the 18650 battery inside a battery sleeve before being inserted into the flashlight to avoid rattle. Maximum performance of the Yuosoar Y10 would however be achieved with the use of a fully charged 18650 battery.

The Yuosoar Y10 produces a maximum output of 650 lumens, a beam throw distance of 300 meters and five light modes: High; Mid; Low; Strobe; SOS. The flashlight is operated by a bright green rubber switch in the tailcap and the adjustable head. Press the switch until a click is hear to turn on/off the flashlight. The light comes on in High by default. Press the switch partway down to cycle through the brightness levels in the following order; High; Mid; Low; Strobe and SOS. When the desired brightness level is acquired press the switch all the way down for the constant-on operation. With the flashlight turned on, slide the head forward and back to zoom-in and zoom-out the flashlight beam.
