Flashlight Of The Day: Tacklife LFL1A LED Flashlight

The Tacklife LFL1A LED flashlight is a bright, easy-to-operate mini torch which would be a useful EDC to carry around or a handy general-purpose emergency light to keep around the home or shop. The flashlight measures 5.3 inches long and has a head diameter of 1.3 inches. The LFL1A weighs around 140 grams without any batteries installed. The flashlight is constructed from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy which features a hard anodized, anti-abrasive Black finish. The LFL1A also features diamond knurling for a firm grip, a crenelated bezel which would come in handy during emergencies and a red band around the head which allows a user to locate the light in the dark.

The Tacklife LFL1A utilizes a Cree LED XP-G2 LED, an aluminum reflector and an ultra-clear, mineral glass lens. The flashlight can be powered by three AAA batteries or one 3.7V 18650 rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. Three AAA batteries are included with the package along with an AAA battery holder. The LFL1A produces a maximum output of 400 lumens, a beam throw distance of 100 meters and six light modes: High; Mid; Low; SOS; Fast and Slow Strobe.

The flashlight is operated by a multifunctional push-button switch in the tailcap. Press the switch all the way down to turn on/off the LFL1A. With the light turned on press the switch partway down to cycle through the various brightness levels in the following order; High, Mid, Low and SOS. To access Strobe in any mode simply double click the switch. While in Strobe, click the switch exit and return to the last used brightness level. The Tacklife LFL1A LED flashlight comes with a lanyard and could be used while biking, camping, hiking and walking the dog at night. While the flashlight does not come with a bike mount, it could also serve as a bike light when rigged to the handle bar.
