Fenix TK75 2018: Rechargeable searchlight delivers 5100 lumens 850 meter beam

The Fenix TK75 2018 is a very powerful rechargeable flashlight which produces a maximum output of 5100 lumens and a beam throw distance of 850 meters. This flashlight would be an excellent lighting tool for first responders along with professionals in the military and law enforcement. The searchlight would also be very handy for outdoor use by cavers, hikers and hunters.

The TK75 2018 measures 188mm long and has a body diameter of 53mm and a head diameter of 86mm. The flashlight weighs 630 grams without any batteries installed. The TK75 2018 is constructed from a durable high-strength and oxidation-resistant aluminum and features a stainless steel crenelated bezel. The flashlight also features ribbed knurling and a Type HAIII hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. The TK75 2018 has a standard tripod socket below the head which allows the light to mounted on a tripod to provide area lighting. An included lanyard and shoulder strap can be attached to the flashlight to provide for hands-free lighting.

The Fenix TK75 2018 utilizes four Cree XHP35 HI LED’s and an ultra-clear glass lens with an anti-reflective coating. The searchlight is powered by four 18650 rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries. The TK75 2018 will aso work with two 18650 batteries and four CR123A Lithium batteries. The batteries are fitted into a Micro-USB rechargeable battery holder and then inserted into the light. Reverse polarity protection guards against incorrect battery insertion. There is a switch on the battery holder which a user can click to check the battery status which is displayed on a battery level indicator.

The TK75 2018 produces six brightness levels and two flash modes: Turbo 5100 Lumens 2Hr 15Min; High II 2000 Lumens 3Hr; High I 1000 Lumens 6Hr; Mid 450 Lumens 17Hr 45Min; Low 150 Lumens 46Hr; Eco 50 Lumens 95Hr; Strobe 5100 Lumens; SOS 150 Lumens. The runtimes of the flashlight can be doubled with the adding on an optional body tube segment and battery holder.

The Fenix TK75 2018 is operated by two stainless steel side switches located in the neck of the light. The Master switch on the right controls the General mode and output selections. Press and hold this switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight on/off. With the light turned on, click the Master switch to cycle through the various brightness levels. The Auxiliary switch on the left controls Strobe and SOS selections. Press and hold this switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on/off the light. With the The TK75 2018 turned on, click the switch to select either Strobe or SOS. When the flashlight is off, click the Auxiliary switch for the battery level indicator between the two switches to display the battery status.

The flashlight also features a lock/unlock function which prevents accidental activation of the light. With the TK75 2018 switched off, press both switches simultaneously for over three seconds to lock/unlock the flashlight. With the light unlocked, press and hold the Master switch for 1.3 seconds to access Turbo. While in turbo, click once on any switch to enter the last used General mode. With the TK75 2018 turned off and unlocked, press and hold the Auxiliary switch for 0.5 seconds to access Strobe or click the Auxiliary switch once in General mode to access Strobe. The Fenix TK75 2018 flashlight package includes a lanyard, shoulder strap, Micro USB charging cable and two O-rings.
